Parish Priest

A message from our new Administrator, Fr. Moses Kim

Dear friends,

It is really pleasing to meet you all here in the parish of St. Michael's.

I was born in Seoul, South Korea and grew up there. In 2005 I was ordained to the priesthood in the Archdiocese  of Seoul, Korea. After 5 years of ministry in Seoul, I was dispatched to Sydney as on-loan Priest according to the agreement between the Sydny and Seoul Dioceses. Here in Sydney, my first parish was Maroubra for only 6 months and then I moved to Caringbah, Penshurst-Peakhurst, and this time I have been appointed administrator of St. Michael's Parish, Daceyville.

This is the very first time to be in full charge of a Parish so I need your help and support in many ways. I believe this is God's blessing and a gift that we can be goether as one family of God. So I like to share with you all this joy of being one family of god and his blessings through the Sacraments and parish life.

A Prayer for our Parish Priest:

God, eternal Shepherd,
you have chosen your servant Father Jerzy
to watch over us your flock
and to pastor our Church in Daceyville.
Help him to respond without reservation
to your call, "Follow me."
Among us and for us,
may he be a faithful teacher,
a wise administrator, a friend, and above all a holy priest.
Enrich him with the gifts and virtues of a true apostle,
for the good of your people.
May he, and all those in his care,
show forth the living presence of Christ in the world'
and come to the joy of everlasting life.

We ask this through Christ, our Lord, Amen.
